Q: How do I make money?

A: By selling adverts in your directory.
A typical 16-page directory can produce an income to you (after royalty fee and printing costs) from £2,000 per edition depending on the number of adverts you sell. Obviously as your edition grows, so will your income. Our largest edition is 72 pages!

Q: Is there competition?

A: This varies from area to area. In some parts of the country there is no competition whilst in other parts there can be a lot. It is possible to bring out a Kids Direct edition in an area where there is competition as Kids Direct is excellent value for advertisers, although it might just take you a little longer to establish yourself as market leader.

Q: What other investment do I need?

A: Apart from your initial investment in the franchise which will include all the software you will require to set up, the only other equipment you will need is a good computer, telephone answering machine/fax and a scanner.
